Minutes of the Amenities Committee held at 7.00pm on Wednesday 15 June 2005, at Elsworth School

Present: Anne Muir, Alan Farrow, Annie Howell and David Holland

3.Matters arising:

1.Basket Ball Facility and Youth Shelter: AM to speak to Billy Knibbs and draft a letter to residents in the vicinity and Mr Davidson following the outcome of discussions with Billy Knibbs

2.Childrens Play Area: It was felt necessary to read the current RPS of Accidents report. AM to ask the Clerk for the report.

3.Youth Club: The Youth Club has folded, AM to ask the Clerk for the name of the SVC youth coordinator and make contact.

4.A 14 amendment proposals: Councillors agreed on the CHUMMS strategy. 5.Cambridge Water Village Life Fund Grant Application: Councillors agreed the Jubilee Club may benefit from a grant perhaps to pay for visiting speakers, AF to make contact.

6.Siting and Placement of Seat at Post Office: The Postmistress is happy for a seat to be placed on the area outside the PO. Councillors agreed that an area of 6 slabs could be laid to place the seat on. The PC seat on the playing field near the bus shelter is to be relocated. (AM found the seat vandalised and has gone for repair at Neil's)

7.Reassessment of Smith Street Parking: Councillors discussed the wording of a letter to be sent to residents, AM to draft.

8.Web Page Awareness: Councillors discussed ways in which to make the Elsworth Web page more interactive. DH to make contact with all Elsworth Clubs etc. DH to look into a Bamzooki competition for the Web Page.

9.Quotes for Servery: AM took photos of the Servery and will look for 3 quotes.
